DHA had a great night at the prestigious Museums + Heritage Awards 2025 at the Hilton Park Lane, winning in both the Best Permanent Exhibition and the Best Temporary Exhibition (over £80k) Categories.
Permanent Exhibition of the Year – Showtown Museum, Blackpool
Collaborating again with Casson Mann, DHA created a theatrical and imaginative lighting solution to immerse the visitor in the rich, eccentric and joyful history of Blackpool. The judges described the museum as “lively, engaging and unapologetically fun – the museum equivalent of a thrilling arcade”, in no small part due to Casson Mann’s creativity and Jonathan Howard of DHA’s thoughtfully integrated response.

Temporary Exhibition of the Year (over £80k) – Beyond the Bassline, British Library
Working with Freehaus and JA Projects, DHA used their twenty-four year experience of the Paccar Gallery to transform it into a dynamic space to tell the sometimes moving, sometimes ecstatic 500-year history of Black British Music. DHA also worked with community groups and artists whose interventions told a different story. The judges praised it as “joyous, transformative and educational…delivering lasting change.”
