DHA wins with Everyman Theatre at the Lighting Design Awards
DHA were delighted to receive the award in the Leisure category at this year’s Lighting Design Awards for their work at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool with Haworth Tompkins Architects. The scheme was up against a strong shortlist, including the Globe Theatre & London Aquatics Centre.
This award continues an incredible run of accolades for the refurbished theatre, including the RIBA’s Stirling Prize, a Civic Trust Award, an LABC Excellence Award, a Stage Award for Theatre of the Year, and nominations for several more yet to be judged.
Cravings Exhibition at the Science Musuem
DHA Designs is pleased to be involved in the latest exhibition in the Science Museum’s Antenna Gallery. This exhibition explores the effect that food can have on you, and how sight, touch and smell can influence our appetite and cravings.
We are pleased to be working with the Science Museum again in this space after the successful 3D Printing exhibition, and this exhibition includes live experiments as well as an interactive game – Craving Commander.
The opening was covered by BBC news here.
John Singer Sargent opens at NPG
Following previous work with the in-house design team at NPG, DHA Designs were delighted to be asked to light this astonishing collection of portraits by the wonderful Sargent.
The exhibition opened to rave reviews, including 5-stars from Jonathan Jones (Guardian) who described it as “daring, haunting and astonishing” and Richard Dorment (Telegraph) feeling it was “one of the best exhibition’s I’ve ever seen at NPG”.
