DHA Designs are very pleased to continue our association with the Science Museum and DrinkallDean by working on Drawn by Light exhibition in the Museum’s Media Space.
Our third exhibition in the space brings about it’s own special challanges, in this case how to light three Heliographic silver plates to ensure all were visible. This turned out to be a very delicate task.
This exhibition draws on many collections and is a must see for anyone interested in the history of photography and photographers.
The exhibition runs until the 3rd of January 2015.

Light Middle East conference, 3-5th November
DHA Designs director, Peter Fordham, was invited to speak at the Light Middle East conference, being held in Dubai from 3rd-5th November 2015.
Peter was invited to give a presentation, titled Reducing light in the public realm with design intent and adding lighting quality. The presentation was given to an audience of some of the leading figures in lighting from across the Middle East, including lighting designers active in the area, specialist lighting contractors & lighting manufacturers supplying to these countries.
Light Middle East has been running for nine years now, and is the premier event for our industry across the region, and attracts more than 325 companies who are working to develop the lighting industries in one of the world’s great regions of growth.
Lighting Design Awards 2015 – shortlist announced

The Queen opens new Information Age gallery at the Science Museum
HM The Queen sends her first tweet from the Information Age gallery
Friday 24th October saw the opening of the Information Age Gallery at the Science Museum in London, the first gallery of the museum’s ambitious Masterplan that will see many of the major galleries refurbished or replaced. Information Age tells the story of 21 communication advances or inventions that changed our world, from the invention of the telegraph to the foundation of the world wide web. The gallery was designed by Universal Design Studio, with whom DHA have collaborated on a number of projects, including the Sony exhibition at the Milan Salone. DHA provided a complete exhibition lighting design scheme, including display cases and interactive exhibit lighting.
The gallery was opened by Her Majesty the Queen, who after touring the exhibits, used the opportunity to send her first tweet via the @BritishMonarchy account. Rory Cellan-Jones covered the opening via his BBC technology blog
