Alexander Pope’s Grotto is the last remaining part of his famous villa and gardens, which he built in 1720 on the banks of the Thames at Twickenham

DHA Designs worked with Donald Insall Associates on their careful restoration of the Grade II* listed Alexander Pope’s Grotto, which was completed in the spring of 2023. The lighting includes custom wall sconces with flickering candle-effects, sitting in the wall niches. The project won a Civic Trust Award in 2024.
