Hintze Hall – Natural History Museum, London
Transforming one of London’s most important historical interiors with light.
DHA undertook all architectural, exhibition and fixed event lighting for this astonishing interior, working closely with heritage architects, designers, and the NHM stakeholders. The scope included the removal of Dippy the Diplodocus and the suspension of the blue whale, carefully lit from concealed sources. DHA also lit all cases to conservation standards, designed custom pendants for the colonnade spaces, and programmed day, evening and event scenes. One of DHA’s most spectacular projects, this space has won countless awards, including two [d]arc awards in 2018 for DHA including ‘Best of the Best’.
