DHA was delighted to work with Sam Jacob Studio to create a playful and dynamic space for children and adults to revisit some classic video games from Pac-Man to PlayStation 5 and Minecraft to Mario Kart. They designed a colourful environment with dynamic sequenced lighting to give a sense of fun to this basement space, and distinguish it from the object-rich galleries around it. Opening in 2023, this is one of the most popular experiences in the museum, with alternative ‘sensory-friendly’ days allowing the gallery to be enjoyed by all user groups.
