FuturePlan – V&A South Kensington, London
DHA were the “FuturePlan” lighting consultants working across the V&A on over seventy refurbished galleries.
Highlights of this decades-long collaboration included the Jameel Gallery of Islamic Art, where the oldest dated carpet in the world is displayed in an extraordinary showcase. Other high-profile galleries included returning the Paintings Gallery to its original daylit location within the museum, the Toshiba Gallery of Japanese Art and the fragile Miniatures Gallery. Non-gallery spaces included the bookshop, the Sackler Learning Centre and the stunning V&A restaurant. DHA have worked continuously at the V&A for over twenty years and is currently designing LED upgrades for many of the original FuturePlan Galleries.
