Theatre and Performance Galleries – V&A South Kensington, London
Re-lighting one of the V&A’s most popular galleries.
Having lit the Theatre Galleries in 2009, DHA were delighted to be invited back to upgrade the lighting to LED as part of the new gallery design by PUP Architects. With extraordinary objects from Kylie’s Dressing Room to a life-size polar bear puppet to Shakespeare’s First Folio, DHA complimented the delicately lit objects with a more theatrical blue ambient lighting scheme. At the same time, they lit the gallery’s temporary exhibition on Gabrielle Enthoven, celebrating 100 years of her starting the collection. A favourite collaborator, DHA have lit countless temporary exhibitions in this gallery, including Re-imagining Musicals, visited by more than 400,000 people.
