DHA Designs were responsible for the lighting of the Café Consort restaurant within the world famous Grade 1 listed building. The lighting had to respect the history of the building and not interfere with the fabric of the interiors, and no lighting could be fed from the ceiling. Together with interior designers Softroom and Carpenter/Lowings Architecture, a stainless steel Helix-shaped chandelier was designed.

DHA Designs used concealed lighting sources to reflect light off the mirrored helix and onto the tables below, as well as creating shadows of musical notes across the wall. Concealed linear sources were used elsewhere to emphasise the curvature of the Hall.

The project won Best Leisure Lighting Scheme at the FX Awards 2003 and was Highly Commended in the Lighting Design Awards in 2004.
