Nero: The Man Behind the Myth – British Museum, London
Telling the story of Nero and the way he has been (mis)represented through time was a fascinating challenge.
With a huge range of loans from small coins to large sculpture, and from slave chains to gladiator helmets, it was a fascinating look at Roman life.
DHA worked very closely with the curatorial team so that every object had tailored lighting to tell this complex story, including a recreation of Nero’s Domus Aurea, and an AV-linked story about the grate that survived the Great Fire of Rome.
